About Cikukua Little Bird

Small ( 22 cm ) , dark brown - soot inconspicuous , with whitish tunggir . Half- length , tapered , slightly curved . More often heard than seen and the best identification is based on his voice . Note also the typical body shape and behavior cikukua .
Similar types : Suction - honey - brown chest , Sip - honey - streaked head and Sip - plain honey smaller and shorter beak . Cikukua horn much larger , more conspicuous . Sip honey - half - long leaner , much longer half-life .

sound
Does not sound as loud or continuous as Cikukua larger horn . Chirp " o peet weet " or " wee to wee to wee to ... " loud , fast alternating between tones . Sounds " tyew " or " pee yur " single , loud , clear , wailing .

Distribution and Race
In P. Papua , except for the Bird's Head Region ( been recorded from Peg . Fakfak ) .

Place of Life and Habit
Found in forest and forest edge from sea level to an altitude of 500 m ( rarely up to 1000 m ) . Glad to fight in fruiting trees , but often inconspicuous, especially when foraging arthropods in the middle layer of the forest . Also feed on nectar . A voice from the highest perch in the canopy of the forest and forest edge . Less like clustered than other cikukua . (see also: vitamin burung)
